Climbing Mount Everest for Action Duchenne

I've persuaded a group of kind-hearted but extremely gullible colleagues from Hertsmere Borough Council, to climb Mount Everest - without ever having to leave the comfort of their own office.    Between 14 and 25 January January 2008, we will be abstaining from use of the lift and spending our lunch hours and time after work pounding the steps! If anyone can climb all the steps of our five storey building 553 times, they will have scaled the equivalent of Mount Everest - a mere 29,000 ft. Hi Mark Glad to hear things are going well with your Mount Everest climb I think its a brilliant idea. Can you tell me how you are getting on with the T-shirts? Also what about the cards for the shops? Let me know what you need.

Thanks to everyone who took part - 36 colleagues from Hertsmere BC in total during lunch hours and spare time. Will be adding some pics soon but the event raised over £12,000 which is terrific. The winner was Julie Morris who completed 553 ascents (and descents) of the 5 storey building in 7 days. Yours truly just about finished the event after two gruelling weeks.
