10K Run at Swansea Bay 10KOn 24th April 2010, our son Alex was diagnosed as having Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 4. At the moment there is NO cure for this devastating disease which will leave Alex in a wheelchair possibly from age 9 and means his life will be cut short as life expectancy is anything from 19-30. But with medical science they are verging on a cure but need more money and time to bring this to market.
Return to my profile page, link above for more details on this condition.
On Saturday 2nd October, myself and 9 others will be taking to the skies to raise much needed money for Action Duchenne (to help find a cure for Alex so he can look forward to a future). All 10 will each aim to raise at least £395.00.
Jumping out of the plane strapped to an instructor we will take to the skies at altitudes up to 10,000 feet. Once we exit the aeroplane we will accelerate to 120 mph!!
Please give generously EVERY PENNY WILL COUNT and help us find a much needed cure. Thank you.

I am entering the Survival of the Fittest Challenge in Nottingham on the 9th October with four friends. This is a huge challenge for me and whilst I relish such an opportunity, it would be great if you could support me in this somewhat extreme event by sponsoring me and raising money for such a worthy cause.
