There are number of charities that you may be able to get help from for your son. Below details the differences between them all. In most cases your child can only apply once with many of these charities so you need to choose wisely.
Grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. The child needs to be aged between 3-17 and cannot have had a wish granted by any other wishgranting charity.The whole family are included on a wish including siblings under 18. They will visit your child, your son can wish to own something, to be someone, to meet a famous celebrity or to go somewhere. If they can’t grant your child’s first wish they will move on to the next one. Anyone can refer a child, a parent, family member even the child themselves.
Anyone can refer a child to Starlight for a wish whether you are a parent, grandparent, medical professional, friend or social worker. A few simple criteria have to be met your son must be aged between 4-18 years inclusive, be able to choose and articulate the wish for themselves, not have received a wish from another wish granting organisation
Parents must be informed if their son or daughter is to be nominated for a wish.
They take children aged 2-21, they fund for one adult and the child. The whole family can go but they have to fund the rest of the trip.
Rays of sunshine grant wishes to children aged 3-18, a child should not have had a wish granted within the last 12 months nor be having a wishgranted by another wishgranting charity. This is great news for families who’s child had a wish granted by one of the above charities when their child was younger.

The Willow Foundation is the only charity of its kind providing special days for 16 to 40 year olds. Special days aim to provide young adults living with life-threatening conditions a chance to escape the pressures of their daily routine and share quality time with family and/or friends.
Dreamflight is a UK charity set up by British Airways staff. It arranges trips for seriously ill and/or disabled children aged 8 -14 years to theme parks in Florida.
Children are accompanied not by their families but by a team of escorts!
This organisation helps sick children fulfil their dreams be it a visit to Lapland, a special day out or a trip to Disney.
