Strength, stamina and determination to the extreme will help see Derek Burnside through this year's Iron-Man competition being held in Barcelona on the 3rd October. After hearing that his neighbours, Barbra & James Martin, had a son with Duchenne, Derek decided to help raise awareness and funds for Action Duchenne and help make a difference. Derek is aware of the stamina testing event the lies before him after completing the UK Bolton Iron-Man competition in 14 hours and 8 minutes last year. This year Derek will cover a 2.4 mile swim then cycle 112 miles before finishing with a grueling 26 mile run!! Now wonder it is named as Iron-Man! Please show your support by kindly leaving a donation on Derek's Stop Wasting Page and leave a message of support. Good Luck Derek and thank you for helping to make a difference.
