Genius Project
Are you between the ages of 16-25?
Do you have some great ideas and want to help organise an event?
Do you think you could work as a volunteer for Action Duchenne?
What are your passions and interests?
Do you want to develop new skills and improve your opportunities?
What is the Genius Project?
It is a project set up for young people both living and not living with Duchenne. The aim of the project is for young people to have involvement in their local community by volunteering and leading on organizing local community events for Action Duchenne. As a volunteer you will have the chance to receive accreditations for your volunteering work, by working through modules that will be accredited by Open College Network and that directly relate to your volunteer activities. And you will be supported by your Regional Advocate who will work with you to ensure you get the most out of your volunteering.
Accredited volunteer roles will provide you with the opportunity to develop new skills that are transferable to other sectors of society such as employment, education and training. You will have the chance to develop your own ideas by organizing events that reflect your own interests and furthering your potential.
Volunteer with the Genius Project and you will get a recognized certificate, make new friends, develop new skills and maybe even surprise yourself at what you are able to achieve.
So if you are a young person and would like to work with us to raise awareness and campaign to cure Duchenne then why not become a volunteer.
