Everyone had a great day at the Cardiff Love Run. A huge thank you to all the marshals, runners and supporters who made this event so great.
The 10k course was a 2 lap flat path around beautiful Bute Park, while the weather was cold (but dry), the atmosphere was warm and the sun did break through for the hundreds of runners taking part.
Sam from the Birtish Military Fitness team did a warm up and had everyone dancing, laughing and smiling, which set the tone for the day.
Fun runners through to the more serious runners, from babaies through to the not so young, all said what a great time they had; many beat their personal best and we got some amazing times.
Several runners have now stated this is one of their favourite runs of the year, with such a great atmosphere, organisation and encouraging marshals. With such great reviews and feedback, we know that next year we will have many more wanting to register for this one.... we will be opening registrations early so make sure you book your place quickly.
We value your feedback, so if you took part in this event please spare just 2 minutes to fill in our feedback form.
Check out the times from our 2010 10k runners via the link above, we had some very fast runners! Our first 10k man back over the finish line was Owen Evans, who retains that top title from last year, completing the 10k in an astounding 34 minutes 41 seconds.
Our first 10k lady over the finish line was Sharon Leech who completed the 10k in an amazing 39 minutes and 58 seconds. Sharon also retains the top lady title from last year.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone for such a wonderful day, and for supporting such a great cause. We hope to see you all again for the next one.
If you would like to continue to support us, you can take place in other running events to raise awareness and funds for Action Duchenne. We have the Bristol 10k in May and the Cardiff Half Marathon in October.
