It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Mark Styler died on Monday 10th of March. We send our regards and deepest sympathy to Mark’s family Jen, Stuart and Liz who have already lost another son Richard to Duchenne and to Mark's carer Lorna.

Now that British clinical trials in humans with Duchenne have finally become reality with the start of the exon skipping trial a question thats being asked by adults with DMD (myself included) is "Why are older people living with Duchenne excluded from clinical trials?"...

Last weekend I attended the Action Duchenne conference which was a fantastic opportunity to hear scientists from all over world talk first hand about the latest ground breaking research and also a chance to meet other Duchenne families...
