The Action Tilson Revolution!
31 December 2010

Return to ActionTilson profile

Thank you for taking the time to visit our donation page where every little helps!

This page was set up for the purpose to raise funds for Action Duchenne into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research where our motivation is to generate enough finding to eventually find a cure.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy... an illness life threatening where from birth the individual loses muscle function due to muscle wasting that first affects your limbs resulting in being wheelchair bound... secondly the upper body begins to deteriorate resulting in loss of arm function.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy has no moral that only leaves a path of destruction to the individual and their families where usually it is the heart muscle that fails leading into heart failure!

“Carl Tilson 22 years living with the condition does not condone sympathy and self-pity although he believes by cushioning an illness such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy that will not make an immediate impact where with great enthusiasm for making awareness opportunities and speaking the truth will make the difference.”

Carl has lost the ability to consume food having to be fed by tube and living past his expectancy finds everyday a struggle where even the slightest movement exhausts him, he has to depend on heart medication, use of a ventilator and prednisolone steroids where long term use have side effects which influence him to experience anxiety outbursts and show signs of emotions more than an average person.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy has been swept under the carpet for too long and time is ticking so we need to get clicking... Please join The Action Tilson Revolution and give a donation today!
