On Sunday 5th March 10 volunteers came to help do a bag pack with me at the Morrisons store in Lanark, Scotland.
Among the volunteers were Dawn & Graham Dick, parents of McKenzie who has Duchenne and Grandparents Frank & Sandra Kelly. With the help of family and friends the day was a great success raising great awareness and raising a fantastic £623.43!!
After speaking with the store manager about Action Duchenne and what we do he has agreed to allow another collection to happen again towards the end of the year to help support the work of the charity.
Since the collection another 2 fantastic events have been secured with Tesco Extra in Port Glasgow with the help of Frank and Sandra.
On May 1st Tesco staff along with the family and friends will do a sponsored walk and on the 7th May a bag pack at the store will take place. Tesco staff have been advised they can dress down on the day of the collection providing they make a donation on the day.
Incredible support by everyone involved with the events, well done everybody!! Support like this helps ensure we continue to move forward and ever closer to reaching that vital goal. Thank you.
