Action Duchenne has gained great support with our Score4Duchenne appeal from Dundee Football Club. On Boxing Day myself and some local supporters of Action Duchenne will be attending the Dundee FC football match against Morton FC.
The club has agreed to include details in the programme on the day about Action Duchenne along with presenting a signed top and football on the day. I will also have a stand on the day helping to raise awareness of the charity while hoping to gain funds by way of text donations which will be highlighted over the tannoy speaker system at certain intervals.
The clubs board members along with volunteers of the club will be wearing the Score4Duchenne badge on the day to also help raise awareness for Action Duchenne.
The club has also agreed for my son, Arryn, to be the mascot for the club on the day of the match. While the coin toss will be the only exclusion (in case his wheelchair sinks on the pitch!) he will be included with every other part of being a mascot on the day, having a VIP tour of the club, meeting players and also receiving a top from the club.
A big thank you goes out to Dundee Football Club for the great support being given for our Score4Duchenne Appeal.
