Josh's friend Megan wanted to do something to help him. The school council agreed and planned a sponsored sports event. There are only 65 pupils at the school, some are siblings, so only around 60 families raising sponsors. Their sponsors raised almost double the target we had hoped for, raising almost £1,000!
They got in the local paper, the head of another secondary school was so moved by what he read, he sent in a donation of a further £200 and spoke about the charity at an assembly of 400 pupils.
The parent of a child at Joshs school, after reading the information from the sports event, suggested Action Duchenne be considered for a donation from his works annual charity fundraising event. After hearing about Action Duchenne hus work agreed that ALL proceeds from their Male Voice Choir concert in December will be donated to Action Duchenne. This is going to be an estimated £1,000.
REMEMBER all this stems from the idea of one 11 year old girl. And who knows what else is to come! We love you Megan, thank you x
