On the 6th of may 2010, me and the Action Duchenne group from my college held a fundraising event. All the proceeds made went to The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign & Action Duchenne.
The event held was a Fancy Dress Disco and Raffle. The disco ticket fee was £3.00 each which we agreed were quite reasonable. A raffle ticket was £1.00 for a strip of five.
All us guys from the Treloar College Action Duchenne Group had a part to play. We Had one of the group members as the DJ and the rest working on the raffle while I was presenting the event on the microphone.
The night was great; better than expected actually!
We raised a total amount of £700.00 WOW!!!
A big thanks to all the people who came along for such a great cause, I hope you all had a great time. I also want to say a big thanks to Jane Padwick for helping make this event possible.
