On the 12th December a dream came true for our son who became a mascot for Southend United against Hartlepool.
The hospitality at Roots Hall and Southend United was excellent, my son and myself went into the changing rooms met the players and chatted. Leon was given a Southend United footlball strip, pennant and signed photos of the whole team.
If any Southend United squad and staff read this again thank you from my son and myself.
Of course Lee Barnard is his hero as you can see in the photo below.
