Today we had a lovely day with our son who wanted to do a charity walk of his own for Muscular Dystrophy.
He decided that he wanted to walk Southend Pier which is 1.33 miles (2158m), The longest pier in the world.
To our amazement he did it and walked all the way unaided despite it being very windy indeed, not bad at all for our 9 year old son, who is determined what he takes on, he will finish and wont let any thing beat him.
Our 11 year old daughter Claire also came with us on the walk to support her brother. She is being a superb sister and daughter and very mature for her age. We were also supported by our Grandparents who accompanied us for the train ride and ice cream as well.
Moments like this we really treasure indeed.

Of course a nice Rossi's ice cream was called for at the end.
