The happiest day of my life was in October 2005 when I first looked into the beautiful blue eyes of my grandson Cameron.
What followed was three years of glorious ignorant bliss, days of laughter and love and plans for the future, all the things we would do, the places we would go.
That bliss was shattered in May 2009 when my wonderful boy, the light of my life was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Its early days yet, and the tears are never far away, some days feel so dark you dont know how you are going to get through it. But one thing I do know is that we will never give up searching for a cure for this cruel condition. We will do all we can to fundraise to help research into DMD and help all these boys.
Cameron I love you and I'm so proud to be your Gran and I will never give up or lose faith that a cure will be found.
