REASON...
In March 2008, Benjamin Stewart (now aged 3) was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne is a fatal muscle wasting condition, affecting mainly boys, for which there is currently no cure.
On average 2 boys are born every week with Duchenne, diagnosed in early childhood these young children face a life confined to a wheelchair from as young as 8, in their teenage years as their muscles weaken they lose the ability to do everyday tasks such as feed themselves. Their hearts and lungs weaken and as a result they face a short life of between 18-25 years. Around 100 young lives are lost to Duchenne every year.
CHARITY...
Action Duchenne are a dedicated charity working towards better standards of care and finding a cure.
Studies and clinical trials are now approaching critical stages with very promising signs ahead, so finding the funds to continue are now vital.
With YOUR help we can make a difference...
Thank you... Alan Stewart
