my son is 3 with duchenne muscular distrovy - Gillian

Hi im gill a mother of 3 children my eldest a boy age 14 my youngest a girl age 2, n my middle one is a boy age 3 , he has just been told he has duchenne muscular distrovy in january it blew r minds away ,shock, wasnt the word devastated is the word , just want to make friends n speak to other parents who are going thru what are family is going through right now would be lovely to hear other peoples stroies xx

    Hi, my son William is 6years old and we have known for just over a year, I also have 2 other children, an older boy and a younger girl.
    We too were totally devastated, as times goes by the day to day running of a home with 3 children does take over but it is always at the back of your mind. We are still new to this and so cannot really offer much help, we have just started steroids and seems ok at the moment. Take care of yourselves xxxxx

    hi yvette thanks for the comment , sorry to hear about ur little boy to,only just being told as of yet my little boy is not on steroids yet,how did u know or the doctors know that ur boy needed to gon the steroids? my little one called darrel he cant get up the stairs very well always falling over n that but at the moment not to bad, goes back to see his consultant in june,like yourselves were pretty new to this to so would be good to keep in touch takecare now xxxx
