Myself, My husband and friends are all doing various distances in this years Belfast City Marathon to raise vital funds. Our son Ethan who's now 3 was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy just over a year and a half ago. Our world totally crashed down around us and we spent many days crying and questioning ourselves why us. Why our son. Slowly day by day we have had to come to terms with the fact that our son will eventually be paralysed from the neck down and we might loose him before he ever becomes and adult. Its not easy but we all deal with whatever life throws at us. We had a friend tell us that it's takes special parents to raise a special child well our little boy is very special to us and we are going to do every little thing we can to help raise funds to find that vital cure that our son and all the boys just like him need. xx
