This year I will be running in my very first Marathon, and so running in one of the largest events in the world seemed like a good place to start!

I am committed to raising £2,000 for Action Duchenne. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle wasting condition affecting 1 in 10,000 male births. Sadly at present there is no cure.

Action Duchenne is commited to raising funds to supporrt research for a cure for this condition.

Addtionally they also offer support to the families who are affected by this illness and very importantly they are campaigning to ensure that medical care for this condition - which is complex - is consistent throughout the UK which at present it isn't.

I hope you can find a few pounds to put in my pot and help me achieve my target for such a worthy cause.
