about karsen

karsen is a beautiful little angel. He is four years old and was diagnosed with dmd in may 2009. He is a wonderful happy little chap, chatty bright and has a brilliant sense of humour. He is very loved by all his family and friends i woudn't change him for the world. He has a beautiful little sister Scarlett who has just turned 1 and he loves to play with her. although she is nw nearly two they do tend to fight quite alot which they do tend to enjoy not to mum and dads liking

The diagnosis

We found out that karsen had MD in may 2009 . the day will never leave me as i went to get the test results from the blood test i would never of thought that this could ever happen, but sadly it did. a couple of months down the line it was arranged for karsen to go and have a muscle biopsy for us to find out what sort of md it was. Later after the biospy we went back for the results and was annouched that karsen had duchenne.It was the worse day of our lifes we felt our world had been tuned up side down. However it seems the more we read about the research and other familys experiences the easier it seems for us to be slowly coming to terms with it.

Karsen has just started big school and he loves it. He has a best friend called billy he loves to go and play with him. He is doing good at school he is very creative. Karsen likes to get dressed up in his crosser motobike clothes and go quadding with his dad uncle and cusion Harley. I am very pround that he is load and funny with everything he doesxx
