London to Fishguard Bike ride for Action Duchenne - carrielaxton

Tony and Carrie will be cycling around 50 miles a day mainly following the Sustrans of road bike routes from London Heathrow to Fishguard in West Wales. We both enjoy cycling, and last year raised £12,000 for heart charities when we cycled across India from Agra to Jaipur. We wanted to do something closer to home this year and are combining a ride across England and Wales with a chance to catch up with friends along the way. We are both doctors and have come across Duchenne MD through our work, but recently a friend of ours who had babysat our children when they were little, had a little boy who was diagnosed with it and it made us realise that something has got to be done, and done soon. It is TIME to STOP WASTING! We are asking people that we know(and anyone else for that matter!) along the way to raise sponsorship and, if they would like to, join us on a leg of the ride. When we finish in Fishguard we are hoping to celebrate and would like to meet anyone who has supported us on the journey. We are also hoping to have a BBQ in Carmarthen in the summer to raise funds. watch this space for details.
