Searching for a cure, Improving lives

Brighton Marathon 2018

We are really excited to offer our supporters places in the Brighton Marathon once again in April 2018 – sign up today!

The event has grown in popularity since it was first run in 2010 and it is now the second biggest marathon in the UK with 18,000 participants and large crowds cheering runners on along the scenic course.

Michelle Butler - BM16

If you are keen to run the Brighton marathon for Action Duchenne we would love to hear from you! We will give you advice on fundraising and provide you with a t shirt or running vest to take part in. Minimum sponsorship is only £500 + £40 registration fee which makes it a great alternative to the London Marathon.

It would be fantastic to get own place runners involved, please contact us if you want to take part. In 2016 our seven runners raised over £5141.54 for Action Duchenne to support us in finding a cure for Duchenne while improving the lives of those living with the condition.

Brighton Marathon - Rachel Murrant

The following is a quote from Michelle Butler (pictured above) about her experience of running the Brighton Marathon 2016 for Action Duchenne:

When I started training for the Brighton half and full marathon’s a best friend directed me towards running for Action Duchenne. When I contacted them I found from the onset that they were very helpful and supportive. I had many questions and they were answered quickly and the encouragement I received was brilliant.

I would recommend this amazing charity for any type of fund-raising to raise more awareness and support to those families which have been diagnosed.”
