This is a very exciting time in the Duchenne community.  Research is moving faster than ever before and you could be a vital part of our work by becoming a Trustee.

I support Action Duchenne because of their continued belief in Research,and their involvement at all levels with Children, Adults and their Families. Science will bring us the cure we all desire - John Miller, Grandparent, Scotland

As a parent and patient-led charity, we are always particularly keen to hear from parents, family members and those living with Duchenne, who would be interested in this important role.

Our Trustees give direction and are ultimately responsible for the charity's actions, supporting the entire Duchenne community.

Who would suit the role of Trustee?

We are looking for enthusiastic and pro-active individuals who are dedicated to driving advances forward in Duchenne research, campaigning and education.

We could really benefit from your skills and time and in turn you will benefit from;

  • Putting your skills and experience to use, along with the satisfaction of making a lasting difference to a cause you care about
  • Learning about the management and strategy side of Action Duchenne by taking on a leadership role
  • Flexibility, with 4 annual meetings, it is the perfect volunteering opportunity for busy people
  • Working with new and interesting people from diverse backgrounds
  • An enhanced CV, which may open doors to new career paths

How can I find out more?

Contact our Board of Trustees, Janet Bloor to register your interest, ideally attaching a CV and a brief outline of what you would like to do.
