Our kids, who were 3 and 5 at the time, completed the 5k course and we raised over £700 as well as having an utterly brilliant day. - Nicole Greenfield-Smith (Aunt)

The world’s first fully accessible and inclusive fun push/run, with distances from 100 metres to 10km available is back! We had an amazing 60 people do the event for us last year and would love to have even more people this year.  Parallel London is a disability-led event celebrating our magnificent diversity as well as what unites us.  All ages.  All abilities.  No cut-off times.  No excuses.  Run it, walk it, push it or be pushed – anything goes!

For this years event (date TBC), distances include – 100 metres, 1km, 5km and 10km. The event can be done solo, with a buddy helping or take part as child and parent.

What sets the event apart:

  • Participants are welcome to use whatever it takes to finish the course, from day, electric and racing wheelchairs to race-runners, walking frames and children’s buggies

  • Anyone who needs a helping hand is welcome to bring a buddy to push, guide or accompany them free of charge

  • You needn’t be in it to win it. Everyone will be celebrated for crossing the finish line

Both my sons took part in Parallel last year, Len pushing Jude the whole 5km! It was lovely to see them both embrace the challenge, and I must admit their were a few tears as Jude jumped out of his wheelchair to run the last few metres over the finish line! Proudly wearing his medal and cheering others as they finished. Our amazing children are capable of anything and given the opportunity will show us just that!" - Samantha Turner (Parent) talks about Parallel London
