I have been a part of the Duchenne community for most of my life, having grown up with my younger brother, Andrew, who has DMD and is now in his late twenties. I have previously worked with Action Duchenne through Muscle Owl, an online media and campaigns channel that I founded in 2014. I have also worked for Muscular Dystrophy UK, alongside a variety of other charities throughout the third sector, including Children in Need.

I have attended and spoken at countless events across the community from APPGs in the Houses of Parliament to muscle groups with newly diagnosed families, and helped communities successfully campaign for access to Translarna in the UK.

My key involvement in the disability community stems from a young age, having been Disability Liaison Officer at Stockport County Football Club and refereed Boccia matches in my early teenage years. I have also been involved with both DMD Pathfinders and the Trailblazers.

Prior to working in the charity sector, I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Modern Languages with Interpreting (French, Spanish, and Russian), and I have a keen interest in language and communication.

I am delighted to be working with the community at Action Duchenne.
