For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Action Duchenne. I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. - Ryan Beckett, Facebook fundraising page, young person living with Duchenne

Facebook have made it easy for you and your connections to raise money online.

Not going to lie I'm terrified but it's such a worthy cause.I'm raising money for Action Duchenne and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a little or a lot. Anything helps. Thank you for your support. - Kelly Reeve, Family Friend

Be creative with your fundraiser, lots of our supporters have chosen to raise funds for Action Duchenne instead of Birthday presents, but you can come up with your own ideas!

For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Action Duchenne. My youngest son Jenson has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and we like many, are desperate to find a cure for this debilitating, life limiting condition. I've chosen this charity because their mission means so, so much to me and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. - Garry Whitehouse, Parent
