In 2020 Trudi’s husband, Steve, bought her a tandem skydive as a present for her 50th birthday. Due to Covid restrictions she had to put it off. She had it arranged for Saturday 10th July, but due to weather conditions it was delayed again.
Finally, on Saturday 17th July the sun came out and the sky cleared in Shotton Colliery, Durham, and she finally did it!
“I thought I’d take the opportunity to raise money for Action Duchenne, a charity close to our hearts. As many know my son suffers from DMD and so far there is no cure. But with raising funds there is hope for the future with other boys diagnosed with this life limiting condition.” Trudi Carpenter
We want to say a massive thank you and congratulations to Trudi. We know she and her son, Adam, are glad she made it safely back down to the ground.
We are always truly amazed at the strength and courage of our supporters, and you can see that in action in Trudi’s amazing video of her skydive!
