Online Group Counselling Programme
We know that being a parent or carer of someone living with Duchenne can be really tough, and we know that it is difficult to find the right support. We are offering an 8 session online group counselling programme, facilitated by a professional counsellor. The sessions will cover many aspects of life with Duchenne, such as anxiety, anticipatory grief and coping strategies.
Register Your Interest
We’re inviting parents and carers to register interest in our upcoming counselling programmes — small, supportive groups led by a professional counsellor, offering space to talk openly with others who understand.
Upcoming programmes:
CP8 – Tuesday 15th September, 10:00–11:30am
(Primary-aged boys)
CP9 – Thursday 19th November, 7:00–8:30pm
(12+ years)
CP10 – Thursday 21st January, 10:00–11:30am
(Cohort to be confirmed)
Support Officer Kelly Molkenthin speaks to Mark, the counsellor who has worked with all of our groups so far, to explain more about what’s involved and what you can expect. If you’re interested in finding out more, please email support@actionduchenne.org.
