Coping with diagnosis
The shock and trauma of discovering that your son or daughter has duchenne muscular dystrophy are immense. Feelings of disbelief and unacceptance, anger and resentment and pure grief send you into a rollercoaster of emotions. Although it is probably something none of us is ever going to come to terms with, there are strategies we can use to help us cope when we are ready to move on.
