A very special thank you to Eddie Curtis, 14, who bravely gave a presentation to 700 pupils at his school about Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and the work of Action Duchenne.
Inspired by his good friend who lives with Duchenne, Eddie, an avid Colchester United fan, nominated Action Duchenne as one of the school’s charities for 2019/20.
Immanuel College is delighted to have raised funds for Action Duchenne during the past academic year. In particular, I want to thank Eddie Curtis in Year 9 who nominated the charity. Eddie delivered an excellent and impactful presentation about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy to the school which resulted in Action Duchenne being chosen as one of our school charities for the year.
Naomi Amdurer, Head of Charity and Social Action at the school
Thank you to all those who supported Eddie. Your incredible kindness and generosity will make a difference to the lives of all those living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
