MindJam – The Benefits and Possibilities of Gaming

MindJam provide emotional and SEN support for young people through gaming, game design and digital skills. They have also provided gaming activities for the HangOut at our conference for the last 2 years, as well as running game design sessions for young people as part of our Yes I Can programme.
In our increasingly digital world, online communities and gaming are powerful forces in young people’s lives. While concerns about screen time and remote interactions are common, this series aims to tackle those myths head-on and reveal the positive potential.

Tuesday 12th August, 6pm: The Benefits of Gaming – Parent/Carer Focus
Often viewed negatively, gaming can actually be a powerful tool for good! Dan Clark, CEO and founder of MindJam, will share his expertise on the positive impact gaming can have on your child’s development. Drawing on over two decades as a teacher and his experience as a parent, Dan will offer practical ways you can support your child in using gaming to build valuable skills and emotional well-being.
