Parallel London 2017 was an absolutely inspirational day!
60 incredible people took part for Action Duchenne, representing the entire community, along with the scores of supporters who were cheering on the Action Duchenne Parallel Heroes.
It was an amazing sight to behold a sea of light blue shirts worn by people living with Duchenne, families, friends and colleagues.
Thank you to every single person who took part and made the day so special.
We can confirm the total raised so far is nearly £7,500! This really is testament to our mission that together we can make a difference and that you, the Duchenne community, power us to make amazing things happen!

Witness the moment 9 year old Jude climbed out of his wheels for the second year running and walked across the finish line at Parallel 2017. Jude, who’s dream is to design Lego, is a force to be reckoned with and is an inspiration to all.
Well done to Jude and his amazing older brother, Len for taking part in the 10km race yesterday.

Our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Janet Bloor completed the 5km Parallel London with her son, Phillip.
Parallel is organised in a unique way so that everyone can take part. There are no barriers to joining in. Every aspect of the entire day is fully accessible, along with entertainment through the day for the family.
Parallel 2017 was an event for everyone! Team William, comprising of 38 children and adults were a true inspiration.
With members of the team taking part in each of the 10km, 5km and 1km races, they all wore broad smiles and beamed with pride the entire day!
It was wonderful to see families work together, supporting each other in pushing themselves. William (4) smashed the 1km race himself, leading the way for his dedicated friends and family.
Our wonderful Intern Benjamin James (20) was incredible at Parallel 2017.
He took on the maximum 10km accompanied by his adoring Mum.
Benjamin is about to embark on his final year of a NeuroScience Degree at Nottingham University. Thank you Benjamin for your hard work at Action Duchenne this summer and good luck for your final year!
