Charity is very important to the RAF Falcons and every year they find time during their busy schedule to raise money for select charities nominated by the team.
They have chosen Action Duchenne as one of their chosen charities to raise donations for during their display season in recognition of one of their team members Sergeant Doug McAll.
“The work that Action Duchenne undertake is aimed at providing support after a diagnosis, providing education programmes, and funding research for everyone living with Duchenne. Their important contribution has a huge impact on the quality of young lives who didn’t have a choice in living with this condition.”
Sergeant Doug McAll, Third Year Falcon
Our Community Fundraising and Support Officer, Victoria, spent the day at RAF Brize Norton on Thursday 20th April for the RAF Falcons Launch day . The day included a tour of the parachute training facilities, a look at the planes they jump from, a chance to have a go at a Virtual Reality parachute jump and the RAF Falcons put on an impressive display. After this it was lunch in the Officers Mess and drinks at the bar.
I had an amazing day with the RAF Falcons. They are all very down to earth people who are truly passionate about what they do, it was great to learn more about their work and their training. They have my utmost respect. I am so grateful to them for helping us to raise awareness and raise donations for our life changing charity.”
