Come together with the Duchenne community at Action Duchenne’s Annual International Conference 2024

Friday 8th & Saturday 9th November 2024, Leonardo Hotel Hinckley Island, LE10 3JA

CEO Florence Boulton invites you to join us:

I am delighted to announce that tickets are now available for our 22nd Annual International Conference, taking place on 8th and 9th November at Leonardos in Hinckley. This event brings together families, clinicians, therapists, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies from across the world. It offers a unique opportunity to hear from leading experts and connect with our amazing community.

We continue to be fiercely committed to scientific research, advocating for access to treatments, and empowering you with the knowledge needed to create the best possible future for you and your family. With three simultaneous content streams covering every aspect of life with Duchenne, the connections you make and the knowledge you gain over these two days will inspire hope and optimism.

We remain steadfast in support of your journey, and I am continually inspired and humbled by the strength and resilience of the Duchenne community as they come together during this event.

With three simultaneous content streams over two days, we will cover key areas on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. You will discover the latest Duchenne science from the experts, build support networks and focus on your mental and physical wellbeing.

Excellent content, fantastic speakers and well organised conference. I attended the conference last year and it changed my life forever. It was very nice to meet your wonderful self, Harry Hill and your team again. We met some of my best friends to this day and were able to share so many stories and memories with them. I would DEFINITELY recommend this conference to other families.

Come along with your family – our Hang Out area for 10+, and  a free creche for children under 9’s allow parents/carers to attend sessions safe in the knowledge that their children are having fun and taking part in engaging activities. Join us on Friday evening for a 3-course meal and dance celebration to make it an unforgettable weekend.

This was the first time my husband and I have attended the Action Duchenne Annual Conference. We have received a diagnosis of Duchenne for our son four months ago and are very much in the early stages of learning about the condition. There was a lot packed into two days, but we thought the conference was excellent – interesting and relevant topics, good speakers and very well organised. This weekend we met some of the most incredible families and were able to share our experiences. Our favourite moment was our daughter when played in a band with Harry Hill and Florence – it’s so nice to see her laughing again! We are looking forward to next year.

Thanks to the generous support from our Sponsors, tickets are FREE for Duchenne families and those living with Duchenne. We are also offering families a grant of up to £100 towards their conference travel and/or accommodation.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Action Duchenne Annual International Conference 2024.
