We want to announce that the Action Duchenne International Conference will take place online this year.
Following the Government’s latest update, it is clear that the lockdown restrictions will be lifted very slowly and it’s very likely that the COVID-19 virus will still be circulating in November. After thoughtful discussions with our Board of Trustees and experts across the country we have decided to move our 2020 International Conference to a fully online, virtual experience that will take focus on the weekend of 14th and 15th November 2020.
We are working to bring you an amazing programme, as ever, with updates on research, care, and living with Duchenne. If there’s a specific topic you’d like us to cover, add it to the comments below and we’ll try to include it in our agenda!
The conference is so important for so many other reasons, not just the sessions. We know how much you gain from meeting other families and having the chance to ask questions of our pharma partners, clinicians and researchers. This year will be no different. We’ll be using the latest technology (it’s really whizzy!) to help you meet people ‘face-to-face’, ask questions, and talk to everybody attending the conference.
We will be sharing more details in the coming weeks including the exciting line-up of speakers. For now, please block out 14th and 15th November to spend with us virtually, and we look forward to seeing you in person next year, in November 2021.
