We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, is being awarded in recognition of our continuing work to support Duchenne families during lockdown and beyond.
Since the start of the pandemic we have delivered 25 webinars, made 2,000 personal support calls and received 40,000 unique pageviews on our COVID-19 advice webpage.
The National Lottery grant recognised that COVID-19 will eventually pass, but Duchenne will remain. The award will fund our vital support and advice work over the coming months including keeping families up to date about research and planning for life after COVID-19.
The National Lottery Community Fund is all about supporting communities. I’m delighted that the Duchenne community has been recognised through this award. The Action Duchenne team looks forward to launching a number of exciting new initiatives to support our families during these unprecedented times.
