A huge THANK YOU to the 12 amazing fundraisers who jumped out of planes across the country for Duchenne muscular dystrophy this weekend!
It was a wonderful opportunity for families and supporters to meet up in the glorious sunshine! The skydivers were amazing and fought their fears to do the incredible!
Inspired by gorgeous George Shippey, devoted parent Kerry was joined by Jenny, Carmen and Sophie. They were cheered on by their wonderful family, friends and of course boys George and Jack. These amazing ladies faced their fears and absolutely smashed it!
Ben, devoted dad to Dexter was joined by Nanny Kay and close friends Darren and Kelly as they took to the skies with a fearless determination to make a difference to the lives of all those living with Duchenne. Inspired by super cute Dexter, who was there to cheer them every step of the way!
The legend that is Alexis Ellison, watched by his adoring children Leo, Samson and Rosie and of course our very own Lynnette, took to the skies once again. Taking time to share his experiences with the rest of the team, Lex freely admits he may well be ‘addicted to parachuting!’
Although every single one of our skydiving team loved the rush, they all firmly held in their hearts the reason they were jumping, the children and young people they know living with Duchenne. Their bravery has raised over £8,000 (with more coming in!), powering Action Duchenne as we deliver our mission to fund new research projects, campaign for better care and access to treatments, and run projects for people living with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy.
SAVE THE DATE – join us Saturday 6 July 2019 at one of our regional dive sites.
