Beneath the spectacular backdrop of Ben Nevis, the Lochaber Agricultural Show is an amazing celebration of what rural Lochaber has to offer. What better place for the second outing of the pop up ‘Dodge Diner’ from the Berardelli family.
Elspeth and Paolo have been dedicated fundraisers for many years now following their son Georgio’s diagnosis with Duchenne.
It was a real family affair, with Mum Elspeth, along with Dee Collins and Mary Anderson manning the Diner. Home made cakes and soap were on offer from Georgio’s sister and cousin Livia and Lila, and Georgio’s uncle and cousins Bruno, Rocco and Victor holding a very competitive ‘Beat the Goalie’ competition.
A grand total of £1481.73 was raised on the day, with an additional £220 raised by Aunti Alis’ ‘No prezzie please’ 40th birthday. We are so grateful for the whole Berardelli family, and the Lochaber Community for their unending support to help us fund new research projects, campaign for better care and access to treatments, and run projects to improve the lives of everyone living with Duchenne.
Through fundraising in your local area you, too can help us to achieve our vision of a world where peoples lives are no longer limited by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
