When Thomas was around 7 years old, Adam remembers him having his appendix out. Adam arranged for a card to be signed by the whole school to wish him a healthy return to the school. Ever since then they did everything together and over the course of around 17 years they grew to be more like brothers, needing each other in their lives.
Earlier this year Thomas died from Duchenne. Adam and his friend Conor had signed up to run the Tough Mudder 10 Miler before he died, and they have now decided to still do the race but to now do it in memory of Thomas and to fundraise for Action Duchenne.
“ It broke me and I haven’t been able to do much about it but think about all the other families who still go through this pain. . Thomas gave me so much and it’s time to give a little back, and I’m sure once this one is finished, me and Conor will be looking for a new way to raise awareness.” Adam Coomber
We feel absolutely privileged to have the support of these two absolutely amazing people in memory of Thomas, who was so very special to them.
We wish Adam and Conor the best of luck on 3rd September!
